FLEX - A new modular concept for a large numbers of applications
A few months ago, Escofier presented its new machine series called FLEX. This modular design provides many application solutions for all kinds of cold rolling processes used with dies. The two sizes of machine base (M & L) enable it to accommodate a large range of work-pieces. The maximum rolling force of the cylinder (from 5 to 60t), the energy (electrical or hydraulic), the spindle sizes, the different solutions of motors...etc. assure to configure the machine based on customer requirements and for all types of standard profiles, Incremental®, Syncroll®, roll-finishing of gears, densification of powered metal parts, tube, etc.

The unique design of Escofier machines with only one single cylinder to ensure the symmetrical movement of the slides, has contributed to the brand recognition worldwide.
Until now, the hydraulic cylinder was the only solution for transmitting and controlling the force to the rolling dies.
Today, as a result of the arrival on the market of new components and Escofier R&D, our company can now offer a fully electrical machine.
Cleaner, quieter, with less maintenance and a smaller foot print, this solution is a real innovation in the rolling world. The lack of hydraulic fluid also helps to preserve the environment by avoiding oil treatment.
Main characteristics
- A cast iron base available in 2 sizes assures optimal rigidity.
- High accuracy of carriage movement due to the ground guides.
- Two movable carriers are symmetrically moved by a single cylinder, electrical or
hydraulic.
- Spindles are rotated by reducers or direct drive shafts.
- The spindle diameter is adapted to the rolling dies and applications.
- Movements are controlled by PLC, numerical axis or CNC.
- Optional Force control and Position control systems for the gear finishing process.
- Optional easy taper and helix adjustment.
